Welcome to the “How to Participate in the Internet Translation Market” E-Course!
This course has been designed so that you can study it entirely online on your own. Thus, this course does not follow the traditional school model where the student has to go to a specific location to study and learn the material at a set time. Instead, it’s a system where you can move forward with the material as much as you want, whenever and wherever you want, as long as you have an Internet connection. But don’t you think it’s harder to make progress in a course if you start without any rules? For that reason, I hope you will take on this course after setting some rules at your own pace (“study 2 hours a day, 5 days a week”, for example).
The course consists of eight lessons, and you must complete the first lesson in order to move on to the second. There are several units within each lesson. Those of you who are actually starting translation for the very first time will have to study every unit of every lesson thoroughly. But those of you who already have some degree of translation experience may find there are sections you’ve already completed (for example, using PayPal or Skype, creating a profile, etc.). In such cases, you may skip specific sections. At the end of each unit, I’ve prepared a quiz to help you condense that unit’s content in simple terms and memorize it. Though they might seem a little funny, I’ve created the quizzes to help you remember the unit information clearly, so I hope you will try them out as well. I also hope you will check your answers to revisit and review sections related to any questions you may have gotten wrong. (I tried my best to make the quizzes fun.)
That concludes my brief introduction, and I wish you all a good learning experience through this Happy Translator’s First Steps course.
